A Note From Your Publisher ~ Holiday Traditions

By Reasa Oliver November 14, 2019

Thanksgiving is only two weeks away, retail stores already have their holiday decorations up, and it has been freezing cold outside. Whether you’re ready or not, winter is on the way! For me, that means it’s time to get ahead of the holiday planning. There is so much to do between now and the end of the year from holiday travel, family dinners, tree lighting ceremonies, gift wrapping, and holiday parties. It’s such an exciting time of year, but if I’m not careful, I’ll find myself stressing over the details at the last minute. But with so much to do, how do you narrow down your activities to only a few?  Of course, my family has our own traditions, but what about creating new ones? As my kids get older, I definitely want them to experience the magic of the holiday season the way I remember it as a child. So I'm always on the hunt for new ideas to add to our holiday schedule.

What about you? What are some of your holiday traditions? Do you take family photos every year? Do you break the turkey wishbone or cook dinner together? Do you make it a point to try something new or do you stick to the same favorite activities each year? I love staying active with all of the fun activities. Just as long as I can keep myself from going overboard by with too many things on our calendar. We’ll see how that goes. Wish me luck!

The countdown is ON
